Leicester Friends of MSF are screening the MSF documentary LIVING IN EMERGENCY on WEDNESDAY 13TH OCTOBER in KEN EDWARDS LECTURE THEATRE 3 at 6PM.

This documentary is a must see for anyone with an interest in the work of NGOs and promises to be a good chilled out evening from FoMSF.

This is a chance for everybody (not just freshers) to find out what medsin is all about, the projects and campaigns that medsin run and most importantly how you can get involved any of the medsin mini-committees, how you could become our first year rep and also how to get involved in Medsin activities.

It is going to be in the Attenborough Basement Lecture theatre and if you haven’t paid for membership, this is the ideal time to pay for membership you have ordered or to buy membership!!

We’ve just voted on the Medsin-UK Board Trustees and motions, undertaking training in fundraising and publicity, presenting on the IFMSA and working on strengthening the Medsin-Leicester contacts and progress within Medsin-UK. Tomorrow is Medsin Leicester’s first MEDCINEMA night, offering a non-drinking alternative social to LUSUMA’s Sports Night.

Medsin will be showing “THE AGE OF STUPID” in Beaumont TV Hall at 19:00.

Medsin have organised a talk by Dr Birch about the devastation caused by the huge loss of lives and destruction by the Earthquake.

Dr Birch has years of experience in humanitarian disasters and has been following what has been going on in Haiti.

So, if you have an interest is the Haiti disaster or just humanitarian disasters in general, this is the event for you!!

Refreshments will be provided, Door open at 7:00pm and the event is FREE for members.
