Global Health Conference
Saturday 27th – Sunday 28th March
Newcastle University
Experts on each topic will build a sense of the world as it could be in 2050, with three plenaries discussing health in growing populations, changing environment and reduced resources, within the complex restraints of international politics and economic and global governance.
The final plenary will discuss how we can prepare for a healthy future. Practical, sensible and empowering knowledge will explain what powers such as the World Bank, IMF and our own Government must do to prepare for the inevitable changes to the health of the nation.
A wide range of workshops will focus on smaller, more digestible issues in a directly engaging way, with anything from fierce debates to immediate, practical action.
So if you want to be able to repeat statistics ad verbatim, sit at home and make your own PowerPoint. But if you want to engage with a huge number of exciting people, learn whether 2050 can be our healthy future and awaken your proactive side, then clear your calendar for Medsin GHC 2010.
Registration opens Monday 1st March. But feel free to visit the GHC 2010 website or email Medsin Leicester for more details!
