Medsin have organised a talk by Dr Birch about the devastation caused by the huge loss of lives and destruction by the Earthquake.

Dr Birch has years of experience in humanitarian disasters and has been following what has been going on in Haiti.

So, if you have an interest is the Haiti disaster or just humanitarian disasters in general, this is the event for you!!

Refreshments will be provided, Door open at 7:00pm and the event is FREE for members.

This year the auction will be held at Highlight Leicester, (the old Jongleurs) with an amazing after-party at Chilli White.

The Sleep Out

Secret location revealed only to those who sign up

HOMED will be holding a Sleep Out to raise awareness of homelessness in Leicester and the UK, and to to help raise as much money as possible for the cause! It’s going to be a unique way to challenge yourself and see if you can face what hundreds of those who are homeless face every night.

You can participate by:

Signing up at the MSB Coffee Room on Wednesday at the cake sale
Signing up at Queens Hall on Thursday and Friday
Emailing homedleicester@googlemail.com

Each Sleep Out participant is asked to donate £5 as a joining fee, and given a sponsorship form to get as much sponsorship money as possible! Even if you do not wish to take part, you can still help by clicking here to donate money.

Important information:

This is strictly a dry event, therefore NO ALCOHOL!
We only have a limited number of places, therefore it’s FIRST COME FIRST SERVE!
We hope to get lots of media and press attention, so get involved!
Everyone who takes part will also receive a specially made, rare and much sought after, HOMED T-Shirt!
