The following events are simply the biggest ones happening throughout the year. But, rest assured, there will be many more in order to raise money and awareness for various important causes. As a member, please get actively involved in the organisation and we hope that you’ll enjoy attending the events. Farmerwear Bar Crawl
Medsin Leicester hosts the highly entertaining Farmerwear Bar Crawl where hundreds of medical students from all years come dressed up as their favourite farm animal or related character/item. This is in support of our local campaign – PharmAware.

 
Global Health Week
Global Health Week occurs annually in October. It aims to educate our university about important global health issues. Each day is dedicated towards a specific cause and the week finishes with the Medsin UK Global Conference on Power and Politics in Global Health. Truly a very inspiring and insightful time, filled with world renowned, inspirational speakers from around the world.

 
Fairtrade Fashion Show
Towards the end of the Christmas term, Medsin organises the Fairtrade Fashion Show hosted by a “secret celebrity” which aims to increase the popularity and importance of Fairtrade amongst students. It promises to be a night full of glamour whilst promoting trading equality and fairness.

 
Medsin’s Charity Auction
The Medsin Charity Auction held in the summer is our largest annual fundraising event which brings to together medical students, doctors and staff in a bidding competition for charity. Thanks to free food and alcohol by our sponsors, it is guaranteed to be one of the best nights every year.

 
Sexpression’s Sexual Fantasy Bar Crawl
Discover your innermost sexual fantasy on this particular bar crawl and, at the same time, you’ll be promoting and raising awareness about sexual health.

 
Charity Comedy Night
This event is scheduled to happen in the spring and includes comedians from Leicester and the rest of the UK. This is a fundraising event for SKIP and Save A Baby’s Life.
