Climate Change & Global Health
Saturday 10th – Sunday 11th April
University College London
Another training weekend for UK medical students to become international actors in Climate Change & Global Health.
Over the weekend you will be taught the physical science, global health, economics and policies of climate change. You will learn how to work with the NHS Sustainability Development Unit to advance sustainability in the NHS, reducing carbon emissions, protecting health and saving money. In the role, you will also network with medical students and countries internationally to support similar programmes and establish an international movement of medical students on climate change.
You do not need any prior knowledge of climate change and health or of project management. All we ask is that you are eager to learn, excited to get stuck in, and put the skills we give you to use. Do not worry – we will give you full support! Students in this year’s cohort will also have the opportunity to improve and lead the project next year.
We are able to offer accommodation in London and pay for your travel expenses. All remaining money will go towards the weekend and for your personal expenses over the year.
Fill in an application form here, before March 19th. To find out more information, click here or email the project director. Alternatively, he can also be contacted by phone (07999 434 377) or through Skype (mustafa.abbas4).
