PharmAware

Mission statement: To create professional and ethical doctors.
PharmAware Leicester (Pharmaceutical Awareness) is a Medsin activity that aims to educate future doctors about the ethical issues of the doctor-pharmaceutical industry relationship and why evidence based medicine is so important. It is an excellent forum for addressing the issues that have arisen from Big Pharma on a local scale.
As medical students, we have a responsibility to start developing good practice now whilst still having a bit of fun. Therefore, we have a mixture of educational and social events throughout the year; with the FarmerWear barcrawl being an exciting evening for dressing up as your favourite farm yard animals. On the educational front, we hold interactive workshops to give you an insight into the world of Big Pharma; one of which is taught by the infamous Dr Ron Hsu.
If you have any questions or would like to be added to our mailing list (so you get to hear first about our next event) please email our secretary at secretary@pharmawareleicester.org.uk.
