About Us

Medsin Leicester is a branch of Medsin UK, which is a network of medical students across the country with a shared interest in health. Medsin consists of branches, projects, events and campaigns at universities across the entire United Kingdom.
 


Medsin represents a national body of medical students within the International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations (IFMSA). Formed in 1951, the IFMSA is the largest student body in the world. It has now grown to represent 91 countries and is an official partner of the World Health Organisation.

On an international level, through our various activities, we have led to the development of several global health initiatives put forward by our World Leaders.

In Leicester, our aim is to work with healthcare students and explore current global and local health issues, such as poverty, trade, access to essential medicines and equality in health, and do so in a very fun and exciting way. We want everyone to get involved with us and to help us to make a positive difference to our community.
